Key Focus Areas and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Closing

  • Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of management reports and financial statements.
  • Support external and internal reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Project & Performance Management

  • Provide financial insight and support for project performance tracking and result analysis.
  • Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Justify financial results and identify areas for improvement in collaboration with project leaders.

Tax & Compliance

  • Coordinate corporate tax returns and payments with local fiduciaries.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Lead initiatives to optimize, standardize, and automate financial workflows and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency gains within the finance function.
  • Manage and implement improvement projects from planning to execution.

Commercial & Strategic Support

  • Partner with the commercial team to identify cost-saving opportunities across project execution.
  • Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Evaluate commercial contracts and support pricing or margin analysis as needed.

Internal Controls & Financial Operations

  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure accuracy of balance sheet positions.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Oversee accurate and compliant day-to-day financial operations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Guide, supervise, and mentor the back-office finance team.
  • Oversee task allocation, performance evaluation, and training/development activities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience
Education:

  • A completed relevant bachelor’s degree as a minimum (Accounting, Business Economics, Controlling, or related fields).

Experience:

  • 3–8 years of targeted work experience as a controller within an international organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English, multiple languages a plus
