Our office in Germany is part of the EMEA Region and contributes to local but also to global projects within different sectors offering the following services:

• Regenerative agriculture for the food and beverage sector
• Carbon credit projects and scope 3 emission services
• Certification support in biofuel/chemical sector
• Traceability
• Livelihoods and living wages
• Human rights due diligence
• ESG reporting
• GHG Emissions inventory/LCA

As the Country Manager of Peterson Solutions for Germany, you will be a key player in driving our commitment to environmental and social responsibility. You will manage and grow a dynamic team, to identify, develop, and implement sustainable and impactful projects with a wide range of clients in sectors such as agriculture, food and beverage, bioenergy, and textiles. You will lead collaborations across our offices, sectors, and expert teams to maximize the value that we provide to our clients. Your strategic vision and leadership will contribute to the growth and success of our services as well as the impact we have on our clients.

Growth

• Shape and oversee the company’s business plan, growth, and investment going forward, bringing the team size into double digits.
• Work with the team to build and strengthen existing client relationships to achieve growth and long-term partnerships.
• Support the team to better upsell and cross-sell our wide range of services to existing clients.
• Build on existing initiatives to develop new clients globally as well as within the domestic market in Germany.
• Collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders, other countries, sector leads, and expert leads to develop opportunities.

Team Management

• Overall responsibility for well-being, team culture, and development.
• Day-to-day management and operations of the team.
• Ensuring the team is delivering high-quality deliverables to our clients on a timely basis.
• Setting KPIs for the team to track the proficiency of the team.
• Conducting performance reviews and building competencies, skills, and talent within the country structure.

Financial Reporting

• Full P&L oversight and management for the German entity.
• Creation and monthly monitoring of an annual budget and business plan.
• Strategic management of budget and resources.
• Presentation of monthly financial reports to regional management.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s related to sustainability, agriculture, ESG standards, environmental management, business and economics
• 7 plus years of experience in private sector environment
• HExperience in agriculture, food and beverage supply chains
• 2 plus years proven track record in managing and mentoring teams
• Network of potential clients either globally or within Germany
• Leadership experience within sustainability consultancy (desirable)
• German speaking (not essential but desirable)
