57 questions from real client conversations
We compiled the PPWR questions our clients ask most often and answered each one directly against the official text. Every answer cites its source: Regulation (EU) 2025/40, the European Commission’s Guidance Document of 5 June 2026, and the Commission’s own PPWR FAQ.
This 2nd edition was fully revised after the Commission published the 2nd edition of its FAQ in August 2026, nine days before the Regulation’s general application date. Answers that changed substantively are flagged, and the rest were re-verified.
The questions are grouped into five areas: scope and definitions, roles and EPR registration, substance restrictions and testing, Declaration of Conformity and technical documentation, and labelling, marking and enforcement.
