Project Management Executive
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Peterson Solutions at Colombo, Sri Lanka for PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE.
We are seeking a Project Management Executive to support and coordinate certification and compliance-related projects across multiple industries.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating project activities, supporting clients throughout certification and compliance journeys, monitoring project timelines and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in line with client requirements and international standards.
This role requires regular travel across Sri Lanka to support project execution and client engagements. The selected candidate must be comfortable working independently in the field while coordinating closely with internal teams and clients.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate and monitor multiple certification and compliance projects simultaneously.
- Support the planning, execution and successful delivery of projects.
- Track project milestones, deliverables and timelines to ensure on-time completion.
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors and clients throughout project implementation.
- Independently travel islandwide for project execution, site visits, assessments and training activities.
- Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients throughout project implementation.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
- Schedule project activities, meetings, training sessions, audits and assessments.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain project records, progress trackers and implementation documentation.
- Prepare project status reports and follow-up communications.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate and maintained in accordance with company requirements.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Support project delivery in accordance with relevant international standards and certification requirements.
- Monitor project compliance requirements and ensure deliverables meet quality expectations.
- Assist in maintaining project-related records and evidence required for audits and assessments.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project management, project coordination, certification support, compliance, quality management, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following standards:
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems
- ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems
- ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
- HACCP
- ISO 22000 – Food Safety Management Systems
- BRCGS Standards
- ISO 27001 – Information Security Management Systems
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel islandwide independently for project execution.
- Must be based in Sri Lanka and willing to work from our Colombo office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Added Advantages
- Communication skills in Tamil.
- Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related discipline.
- Experience working with certification bodies, consultancy firms, manufacturing organizations or food processing companies.
- Knowledge of international compliance frameworks.
